Description	In her two interviews with Justin Olnes and Kali Larsen in July and September 2006, Dotty (Dorothea) Baxter discussed her time working as journal clerk for the Idaho House (1965-1970) and secretary of the Senate (1970-ca.1991). Baxter discussed the time period spanning the 1960s through 2006. In her second interview, Baxter discussed memorable legislation she had observed as secretary and recalled being mentored by Pat Harper, the first female Secretary of the Senate. This interview was conducted for the Idaho State Capitol oral history project, a joint project of the Idaho State Historical Society, Idaho Capitol Commission, and Riverstone Community School.
