Description	In his interviews with Troy Reeves in July and August 2005, David Bieter, mayor of Boise, offered his memories of the Idaho State Capitol. Bieter spoke of the time period between the 1990s and 2001. In his first interview, Bieter talked about his childhood memories of the capitol and discussed taking over his father’s (John Patrick Bieter) seat in the Idaho legislature after his parents passed away in a car crash. This interview was conducted for the Idaho State Capitol oral history project, a joint project of the Idaho State Historical Society, Idaho Capitol Commission, and Riverstone Community School.
