Description	In his three interviews with Troy Reeves in February and March 2006, Martin Peterson, who worked on the staff of two U.S. senators, served as budget director for two Idaho governors, and also ran the Idaho Centennial Commission, offered his memories of his numerous government jobs and of the Idaho Centennial celebration. Peterson spoke of the time period between the 1970s and 2006. Topics discussed in the first interview included early memories of the Statehouse; political campaigns; Governors Smylie, Samuelson, and Andrus; and the Association of Idaho Cities. This interview was conducted for the Idaho State Capitol oral history project, a joint project of the Idaho State Historical Society, Idaho Capitol Commission, and Riverstone Community School.
