Description	Page 42: A room in the Student Union Building furnished with California-type sofas, chairs, and incidental pieces, as well as a large automatic radio-phonograph, game and writing tables, etc., was opened in January, 1942, as a recreation and lounging room for all students. A modern kitchen opens off the lounge, and special club functions may be held in the lounge by arrangement. Current popular magazines are available, and every effort has been made to provide a comfortable student meeting place for leisure hours; Furnishing the lounge was made possible by funds saved over a period of years by the Associated Women Students.
